Halftone Search extends the interface features and the functionality of Google Desktop allowing you to control various features. With Halftone Search, you can customize the look and feel of the search results and view the Google Desktop cache. You can also invoke your normal Windows Explorer pop-up menu on the files found.

You can also tune-up the Google Desktop engine by managing the "drivers" (plugins used to collect searchable data from various file formats). The program ships with several additional drivers. It adds support for multiple archive formats, such as rar, zip, arj, tar, gz, bz2, etc. Halftone Search allows you to search in archives and extract found compressed files on-the-fly.
