SpinSite Enterprise Server
For Intranet Applications
Targeted for use as a stand-alone Intranet system or as a complement to an existing CMS portal, SpinSite Enterprise Server gives company employees browser-based access to company information from any PC. Typical internal sites include Human Resources, Payroll, Marketing, Shipping and Receiving, Development, Project Sites, Scheduling, Sales, Employee Store, and more. There is no limit to the number of features, departmental sites or their content.
SpinSite Enterprise Server is developed, installed on its own dedicated server, and is immediately ready for content addition. Prior to delivery, SpinSite Enterprise can be customized to emulate each customer's corporate look and feel. This way, all internal Web pages inherit this custom framework.
The vendor states that the creation and editing of pages is intuitive to those familiar with any word processing program. Online help and 14 online "how-to" Flash videos guide first-time users step-by-step through the process of creating pages by demonstrating each aspect of adding text, photos, PDF Documents, video clips, data collection tables, photo albums, calendars, and even blogs to a departmental Web site.
Although each Web site allows multiple users to view simultaneously, only the department administrator for that particular Web site can make changes, grant an individual user the right to modify the entire site, or only certain designated pages within the site. Pages may be hidden from public view and designated viewable only by a specified individual or individuals. Also, department and project-related sites may be hidden entirely, so that only authorized visitors may log in to view the content.
When SpinSite Enterprise Server is used as an enhancement to an existing corporate portal, links added to the existing system provide one-click access to any part of the new Intranet Web sites. Sites can be blocked, deleted, or given limited access by the IT department. Change logs store activities for each Web site, including the date and time and the user making changes.
