Event Manager is a scheduling, alerting and response system for optimizing schedule performance of database servers and related IT resources. It provides DBAs with visibility and functionality for managing SQL Agent jobs, Windows Tasks, and Oracle jobs in cross-platform environments.

The vendor states that Event Manager does not replace SQL Server Agent, the Oracle native scheduling agents, or Task Scheduler. With Event Manager there are no agents to install and manage on each server. It provides a visual display of SQL Agent jobs, Oracle DBMS Jobs, Oracle Enterprise Manager Jobs, Oracle 10g Scheduler, and Windows Tasks along with other events across the enterprise so that the DBA can "see" how they relate to one another.
