Canon VC-C4

Small P/T/Z Remote Control Camera For Webcasting Or Videoconferencing

The Canon VC-C4 is a small (4 x 4.48 x 3.58 inch) camera especially designed for Webcasting, videoconferencing, monitoring, or other video broadcast situations. The camera supports remote control pan, tilt, and zoom via an included 32 button I/R control pad, or via connection to a PC or Canon's new VB101 Network Camera Server (see relate link below) via 2 included RS2332 ports. Up to nine separate VC-C4's can be daisy chained together and controlled through a single I/R controller.

The camera is available in both table or overhead mount configurations, and features a 16x power zoom lense; 1/4 inch CCD with 410K pixels and circuitry delivering 460 TV lines of resolution; pan and tilt ranges of +/-100 degrees and +90/-30 degrees (+/-170 degrees and +10/-90 for the overhead mount) and 9 individual, programmable presets including angle, zoom, and brightness levels. Focus and exposure can be contrtolled automatically or manually.

The camera can be used independently through an included output terminal supporting both s-video or composite; or can be integrated with a video system. Canon supplies both the hardware based VB101 Network Camera Server for Ethernet transmission of images retrieved through the VC-C4, or the software based WebView Livescope (see related link below) for Windows based PCs.

The VC-C4 and overhead mount VC-C4R are available now at a suggested price of $1,495.
