Cisco Unity 3.0

Unified Messaging Software Solutions

Unity Enterprise is am Exchange-based communications solution that delivers voice mail, unified messaging, an automated attendant, and a fax server in a truly unified environment. It is architected for medium and large-sized enterprise businesses globally, gives users the power to access and manage their messages-voice, fax, and E-Mail--through a touch-tone telephone, a desktop PC, or over the Internet.

Features include visual voice and fax message management on Microsoft's Outlook application, unified administration, an HTML system administration interface, listening to textual E-Mail via text-to-speech, and international localizations and prompts. Designed from the ground up to integrate with the Microsoft Exchange server, Unity uses Windows native 32-bit architecture, streaming media, scalability, networking, and LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol) directory services to give its products a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Unity integrates with numerous third-party fax providers, is convergence-ready and works equally well with both traditional (supports 96 percent of all traditional telephone switches) and IP-based telephone systems-even simultaneously-to protect your firm's current and future technology investments. Unity's true unified architecture minimizes installation, administration, and support costs-making life easier for system administrators and lowering total cost of ownership.

Formerly from Active Voice and acquired by Cisco earlier this year, the latest release of Unity (3.0) is targeted to large enterprises and offers increased capacity and support for both Exchange 5.5 and 2000. Unity 3.0 is available now with pricing starting at $145/seat; a voicemail only option is available for $70/seat. Contact Cisco for further information.
