eFax
Send And Receive Faxes From Your Desktop
eFax inbound (fax to E-Mail) is a paid-for service whereby users are given a unique eFax number--free call (0800), local (0845) or national (0870) rate--which customers can fax them on. No special equipment is necessary as faxes can be viewed by standard Windows software.
To use the service, users give out their eFax number as they would a normal fax. Customers can then fax the number as normal. When dialed, that number redirects faxes to the user's E-Mail address as a 'Group 3 Tiff' E-Mail attachment. Users can pick up their fax documents wherever they receive E-Mail. And if they or their company moves, they can take their eFax number with them.
There's a free 30-day trial.
Users of eFax inbound can sign up for eFax outbound (E-Mail to fax) which allows them to send faxes via E-Mail to a fax machine. Again, no special equipment is required. The service allows users to manage faxes in the same way as E-Mails. Faxes can be sent to multiple destinations using the cc in the E-Mail program. Users can reply to incoming eFaxes by simply hitting the reply button on their E-Mail program.
