MightyFax is a fax software program that lets you send and receive faxes directly from Microsoft Word or any of your other Windows programs without the need for a fax machine. With MightFax, you can send and receive faxes anywhere in the world, print incoming faxes as they are received, and scan anything you want and fax it.

According to the vendor, MightyFax works with most modern fax modems, and is compatible with calling cards and other special dialing requirements. MightyFax deals with modem setup commands via its built in modem recognition database.

Other features include:

- Maintain a fax history file containing any number of faxes, and sort faxes by date, subject, and recipient

- Save faxes as standard Windows Bitmap or multi-page TIF files

- Updates and upgrades, including major upgrades, are usually free
