EUREKA:Portal provides system and IT administrators with a centralized location for deploying multiple enterprise applications to their users in a familiar Web based environment. Targeted specifically at ASPs, the product is one of 5 tools in the EUREKA:Suite family of products, and offers a user-customizable platform for the integration of the other Suite members which include EUREKA:Reporter, EUREKA:Intelligence (providing Web based queries and analysis), EUREKA:Strategy and EUREKA:Analyst. With its XML API, EUREKA:Portal is also able to integrate with other business tools and applications.

As a tool for ASPs, EUREKA:Portal provides a platform allowing business users to access needed applications using only a Web browser. The product can be deployed between the ASP's inner and outer firewalls, allowing administrators to more tightly control the access users have to local data and applications (the users access the Portal, and the Portal accesses the data and apps). The product can integrate directly with the customer's own directory services, including LDAP, Microsoft Exchange, and NDS; and the Portal administrator can create individual workgroups within the portal and delegate certain capabilities to users within the workgroup. Finally, individual portal customers can customize the look and feel of their access to match their own corporate look via customized design, menus, and layout options.
