ChoiceCaster is a media player able to play multiple audio and video formats, including RealMedia, Windows Media, and QuickTime. The player is available as a free download from the ChoiceCaster Web site.

ChoiceCaster offers the user an automatic search and organization tool called the Media Library, which will locate media files on the user's hard drive and present them organized by type of file (i.e., audio or video; WAV, Mpeg, Windows Media, etc.) Users can play a file by double clicking it, or dragging the file onto the ChoiceCaster player. An additional Media Guide (Flash based in later versions) provides a direct link to media files supplied by eSynch and their partners. If a user begins to play a media clip, and then opens the Media Guide or the Library, the media clip will continue playing in a small "preview" window attached to the side of the console. Finally, for provided links or streams that supply additional HTML based information, the ChoiceCaster player contains a built-in browser for HTML displays.

Additional features include support for RealPlayer 8 and a media search function allowing users to search for media files on the Web.

A brandable version of the player, formerly known as ChoiceCaster Site Edition and now known as SiteStreamer, is also now available. In addition to its branding capabilites, SiteStreamer offers automatic speed and format detection and contextual E-Commerce support.

While the ChoiceCaster player is able to play Windows Media, RealMedia, and QuickTime files, users must first have the native players for these formats installed on their systems. For example, to play RealMedia files in the ChoiceCaster player, users must first have the RealPlayer installed.
