SYMPAQ SQL
Cost Accounting Software For Government Contractors
Unlike standard commercial cost accounting software, SYMPAQ SQL is designed for the specific needs of federal government contractors. The system is fully compliant with all of the guidelines specified on the DCAA's Standard Form 1408 (Accounting System Evaluation Checklist).
Aldebaron chose Borland's InterBase for SYMPAQ SQL's relational database, which allows unlimited growth without upgrades. InterBase provides the power, speed, and stability that government contractors need for their cost accounting databases. The system's modules offer a wealth of options for defining contracts, tasks, and payment and funding, thus eliminating the need for costly customization.
SYMPAQ SQL's database is fully ODBC-capable, so it interacts smoothly with other advanced applications. Crystal Reports produces interactive, Web-based reports from every system module. The Electronic Time Card interface supports any Web-based time & attendance import, and a Synex F9 plug-in provides Excel spreadsheet reports directly from the General Ledger.
System modules include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, ADP Payroll Interface, Billing & Revenue, Cash Management, Electronic Time Card Interface, General Ledger, Job Cost, Labor & Leave, and Purchase Order.
SYMPAQ SQL comes with three distinct Help systems: Module-specific User's Guides with checklists and detailed procedures; field-level popup Help for every user entry screen in the system; and context-sensitive screen Help, featuring a Help TOC tied to the system's own persistent menus.
Aldebaron's Web site also includes Flash demos of certain system features.
